New blog, new directon

Hey there. So I figured since I've mostly been blogging about fashion anyway, I might as well turn my blog into a fashion blog! I'll be posting about my current thoughts on some products I'm using or things I would like to try.

First of all, I just got some really cute espadrilles! I am in love with them! I love how they're so casual because they're wedges, but they give you a little lift and a lot of sex appeal. Totally appropriate to wear on casual days. They're red with white polka dots.

Second, I'm really trying to experiment more with makeup. I'm working different looks with my brows, trying out bold colours of eye shadow and going more bold with liner on nights out. I would actually love to take a course on makeup and learn some tricks of the trade. I'll post some pictures soon and show what I've been up to.

I must add that seeing as I work for Loblaws, I really love Joe Fresh. It's a little less sexy than I'd like, but for casual day-to-day tees and flats, it can't be beat. I'm lucky enough to get 10% off!

Okay, to wrap it up, I will be posting lots of pictures of things I'm loving and experimenting with. Stay tuned!

Lots of cute new spring clothes

Hello readers. I just wanted to share some recent buys and what I think of them.

So, I just went to Winners and got a whole bunch of really nice summer-casual pieces. I got some crisp white high-waisted shorts, which fit like a glove, a few casual yet sexy tanks, and a striped maxi dress. I also went to Payless and got some really cute espadrilles which tie on the side and are red and polka dot. I can't wait to find a white mini dress to wear them with! I also got some white strappy sandals with a short enough heel to wear during the day (as if heel height and time of day are related in my world...).

Some beauty products I got are some coral eyeshadow (finally!), which I plan to throw together with more coral makeup and clothes, and I also got some curl activating spray. Honestly, the longer my hair gets, the harder it is to hold a curly 'do for a night. I asked some people who work at Trade Secrets for their opinion, and they showed me some good sprays that help keep the style. I got one by KMS, because I like that brand. I'll see how it goes, but I tried curling one strand and it seems to really help make a more defined curl too.

Oh, and I just got some capris! One of each in white, black and regular blue denim. So excited to show off my sandals in them!

The one thing I'm sad about is that I can't find the romper of my dreams. I want a fitted romper, not one of those with a poochy belly that makes you look pregnant...Oh, and I also want to try and get an eyebrow powder palette so I can start filling in my brows. My friend told me it would really help make my face look structured. But I need guidance in finding a good one!

One final thing: Those things that hook your bra straps together and make it into a racerback...genius.

Til I post again loves!

Some life updates...

Okay, so today's post will just be a random cluster of thoughts.

First thought: I wish I could afford a personal trainer! I did a free session and I'm all sore today (which hasn't happened in forever). I'm trying to remember all the moves I learned. I hope I'll be good enough to have a legit workout tomorrow and give it my all. Probably shouldn't skimp on yoga either.

Second thought: Having a best friend is so essential to being a human being. Honestly, when my best friend and I get together...oh my goodness. I literally can't look at her sometimes or I'll pee my pants laughing. We just get each other and make each other laugh extremely hard. We're gonna grow old together and just pee our Depends laughing when we're old and gray.

Third thought: I am so bored of my hair. Having lots of length is nice, but sometimes I miss having more layers. Hairstyle options are limited. I do love the volume, though. I think I'll just keep the layers at the front shorter so I can do some cute up-dos with loose hair at the front that isn't too long. Also, there's ugly haircolour still in my hair from YEARS ago...it blends well, but I wanted highlights and the old colour will make them brassy if I get them! Changing your hair is a fun and easy way to change up your whole appearance. If I was a celebrity, I'd love to try out so many different styles, cuts and colours!

Okay, and finally...I just want to vent about my mood. I feel great health-wise, I'm staying away from alcohol and partying, but I need to save money. Oh, and my poor phone died so I need a new one. My heart is set on an iPhone.

That is all this time! Night night! xoxo

Change for the better

Lately I've been thinking a lot about where my priorities should be in life, so this entry will be my own personal reflections. By the way, I know I haven't written in forever and I blame my crazy life!

Recently I've been thinking about why I even drink alcohol at all. I get drunk, usually at least one stupid and avoidable thing happens, and then I wake up and feel bloated and disgusting. My lungs always hurt and I always have a less productive workout if I make it to the gym. Yea, people tell me I should just drink less, but I don't see a point in drinking at all if I just want a little kick. Also, I'm not afraid to admit that sometimes it's hard for me to stop once I start. Okay, so does this mean I'll never drink again? No, I'm not going quite that far. I will drink, but only when it's for an occasion, and I won't drink very much. The next time I drink will probably be May 24. I do like getting a good buzz going with friends, but I find it's so much more fun when there's something to celebrate.

So now that I've decided to change my party behavior, I've decided that it'll do wonders for my number one priority: fitness. I've really come far in reaching my goals, and drinking is only slowing down my progress. I'd rather have a great workout than a few beers any day. I just joined a gym for the summer, and I'm so excited to go every day!! It's open 24 hours during the week, which is excellent for my schedule. HOPEFULLY now that I want to party less and workout more I can stop smoking nasty cigarettes.

To sum it all up, I want to make positive life changes. I'm not perfect and I'll definitely trail off-course at times, but I hope that as long as I stay positive I'll make things go forward in life! I hope everyone reading this stays positive and makes good changes as well.

Toodles xo
