Self-Confidence

I'm just reading Kardashian Konfidential now, and those sisters really have great advice. Kim, who is obviously a well-known sex symbol, even admitted how she has self confidence issues just like all of us. You know what she said? You have to look in the mirror and tell yourself you're beautiful, and whoever is lucky enough to have you should adore you just as much as you do!

My personal views on self confidence have changed dramatically over the years. I used to be a really fat, ugly and unpopular kid. It really made me get into being funny and interesting, though. I never thought of myself as sexy at all until I started getting noticed more. Of course I'm not perfect so I still had a lot of self confidence issues over weight and other smaller things. These days, my confidence honestly is at a great level. I'm not cocky but I feel really good about myself. I decided to hit the gym all the time and eat really well. I also never go out without having my hair and make-up done. Honestly, it makes me feel so pretty and girly! I don't see anything wrong with playing up your features. We all have something about our appearance we can accentuate.

That being said, as soon as people see you're confident, they can easily get jealous and try to bash you just to feel better about themselves. Trust me, a lot of people have done that to me. My friends always make fun of me for taking so many selfie pictures. They say it in a nice way though, knowing that's just a part of who I am. Just recently on Facebook someone posted something about hating people who take self shots all the time (which I don't think was directed at me), and someone I know agreed with the post, which I think was out of spite because they know I love doing that. Point is, a huge part of confidence comes from being able to ignore other people trying to break your confidence. It can be bent sometimes (it's normal), but not broken!

My advice to any gal who is reading this and wants to build her self-love: Take a shower with your favourite scented body wash and shampoo, use your favourite lotion, do your nails, blow-dry and style your hair, do your make-up using your fave shades and colours, and put on the most flattering outfit you have. Do this on a day when you're not even going anywhere special. Just feeling so attractive in a casual setting will instantly make you feel good. I would also advise doing this as often as possible, because it will gradually build up your self confidence if you're always lookin' your best!

Final points, dolls: Dress to impress, love what you got and flaunt it, and fuck the jealous haters! They'd give anything to be you. ;)

Toodles for now!
